                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 9816, 
                   ENCAPTIONED "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 
                   NO. 9795, ENCAPTIONED 'AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND 
                   ABANDONING LONGVIEW DRIVE LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF 
                   HIXSON PIKE, SOUTHWEST OF SKILLERN DRIVE, MORE 
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, UPON CERTAIN 
                   CONDITIONS.' SO AS TO REPLACE THE PLAT ATTACHED 
                   THERETO." SO AS TO CORRECT AN INADVERTENT ERROR 
                   IN THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION.

              	   WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 9816 contained an inadvertent 
         error in the property description of the tract to be closed and 
         abandoned; and
              	   WHEREAS, the staff of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County 
         Regional Planning Commission recommends to the City Council of 
         the City of Chattanooga that said error should be corrected;
                                 NOW, THEREFORE,
              	   BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
         CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 9816, encaptioned as 
         set forth above, be and is hereby amended to substitute the 
         revised legal description as follows:
                   Part of Longview Drive, a 40 foot wide 
                   right-of-way.  Said part of street begins on the 
                   southeast line of Hixson Pike some 561 feet 
                   southwest of the intersection of the southeast 
                   line of Hixson Pike with the southwest line of 
                   Skillern Drive, said point being the 
                   intersection of the southeast line of Hixson 
                   Pike with the northeast line of the existing 
                   Longview Drive, thence southeast 102.5 feet with 
                   the northeast line of Longview Drive to the 
                   southwest corner of the property owned by Pearl 
                   and Mary Lee Richardson, thence southwest 40 
                   feet with the extension of the southeast line of 
                   said Richardson property to the southwest line 
                   of the existing Longview Drive, thence northwest 
                   some 73 feet with Longview Drive to the 
                   southeast line of Hixson Pike, thence northeast 
                   some 50 feet with Hixson Pike to the northeast 
                   line of the existing Longview Drive, the point 
                   of beginning.  Said part of street separates 
                   part of lot 40 from part of lot 48, Long Hixson 
                   Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat 
                   book 14, page 150, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 100O-D-27.
                   
         	   BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance shall take 
         effect two weeks from and after its passage as required by law.
